The socket (1) has a rectangular frame (2), where contact pins (3) for connecting the frame with a connection support and contact springs (4) for contacting a flat connection are formed in the frame. A free end section (7) of each contact springs is bent in an interior of the frame. The contact pins and the contact springs are formed in opposite edge sections of the frame, where the contact springs are arranged in parallel. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement with a flat plugging socket.
