<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore update data with the minimum error even when the latest update data are lost. <P>SOLUTION: This storage device is provided with a plurality of non-volatile storage parts; a data updating part for generating update data to be written in any storage device; an error detection part for detecting the error of the update data for every storage part based on error detection data; and an update control part for selecting the storage part in which the oldest update data are written, and for writing the update data generated by the data updating part and the error detection data in the selected storage part. Each storage part is provided with a data region in which the update data are stored and an error region in which the error detection data for detecting the error of the update data are stored.
