PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive system resonance compensation method, a recording medium, a resonance compensation apparatus, and a disk drive capable of storing information relating to a frequency component having an influence on servo control for each system in a step of manufacturing a system, and utilizing this information in an user environment to reduce an adverse frequency component. SOLUTION: The adaptive system resonance compensation method has (a) a step of detecting a frequency component having an influence on an servo control output at each disk drive/head in the manufacturing step and storing the frequency component into a non-volatile memory device, and (b) a step of reading out the frequency component corresponding to a currently-selected head from the non-volatile memory device every time power is supplied to the disk drive in the user environment, and determining a parameter value of a filter utilized in a servo control circuit of the disk drive so that the read frequency component is suppressed.
