PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard computer system controlling various operations of a plurality of electronic devices in a vehicle. SOLUTION: The onboard computer system comprises a host computer, a mode switch and a backup microprocessor. When the host computer is normally operated, the mode switch is set in a normal mode beforehand. The host computer can thereby control various operations of various electronic devices in the vehicle through various graphical interfaces of a display. When the stop situation of the host computer occurs, the mode switch is switched to a backup mode, and a backup graphical processor is controlled anew by the backup microprocessor to take hold of backup graphical interfaces in a backup memory unit. After carrying out graphical processing, it is displayed on a display, and a driver can continuously control the corresponding electronic devices in the vehicle through the backup graphical interfaces on the display.
