PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element unit for traffic signal, capable of confirming whether its setting direction is correct or not even after set on a casing of a traffic signal. SOLUTION: The light emitting element unit for traffic signal 1 comprises a plurality of LED lamps (light emitting elements) 2, a printed wiring board 3 for mounting the plurality of LED lamps 2, a case 4 for storing the printed wiring board 3 so that the LED lamps 2 are located on the front side, a transparent cover 5 attached to the front surface of the case 4, and a fixing member 6 for fixing the LED lamps 2 mounted on the printed wiring board 3. The fixing member 6 is a resin molded product, and a mark (not shown) is integrally formed on the front surface side so that whether the attachment direction of the light emitting element unit 1 is correct or not can be confirmed even after the unit 1 is attached to the traffic signal 11.
