PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-meshing type toothed chain capable of achieving a uniform load when a sprocket gears with a toothed chain from both inner and outer sides, of preventing deformation and of achieving a long life. SOLUTION: This application relates to this double-meshing type toothed chain according to the preamble of claim 1, wherein each of chain hinges is formed by a sleeve and by a pin extending through the sleeve, and wherein link plates of inner chain links are arranged on the sleeves, and link plates of outer chain links are arranged on the pins, and wherein the outer-chain-link link plate arranged on the pin and the inner-chain-link link plate, which is arranged on the sleeve and located adjacently to the link plate of the outer chain link, are oriented such that their teeth project in the same direction.
