PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rocking clutch mechanism excellent in reliability of clutch motion. SOLUTION: The rocking clutch mechanism comprises an output gear 14 fixed on the output shaft 12, a bi-directionally rotatable motor 16 to drive the output gear 14 and an intermediate transmission section 18 arranged between the output gear 14 and the motor 16 and the intermediate transmission section 18 is provided with a sun gear 20, engaging and disengaging gears 22 and a rocking link 24. Further, the rocking clutch mechanism 10 is provided with a pressing means 26 to press the rocking link 24 in the direction to be engaged with the output gear 14 of freely engaging and disengaging gears 22 connected by the rocking link 24. The pressing means 26 is provided with a connector 46 arranged coaxially with a rotary shaft 40 of the sun gear 20 and the pressing portion 48 to press the rocking link 24. A viscous fluid preferably lies between the rotary shaft 40 of the sun gear 20 and the connector 46 of the pressing means 26. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
