METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HIGH OIL-ABSORPTIVE SYNTHETIC MICA POWDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing high oil-absorptive synthetic mica powder. SOLUTION: Synthetic mica powder is brought into contact with a strong acidic aqueous solution to be treated. It is suitable that the strong acidic aqueous solution has pH <1 and has≥0.25 mol/L hydrogen ion concentration. The treating temperature is 20-100°C, the contact time with the strong acidic aqueous solution is≤100 hr and the oil absorption of the high oil-absorptive mica powder is≥110 mL/100g.
