PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for controlling pipes for a tank lorry, which is capable of operating a head valve without requiring any large labor of an operator, and reducing occurrence of any improper operation of the head valve. SOLUTION: The system 1 for controlling the pipes for the tank lorry has a valve 44 capable of changing a head valve 26 to either one of a communication state for delivery, a communication state for gravity and a communication state for suction, a cylinder which is connected to the valve 44 and is capable of shifting the head valve 26 to these three states, and a controlling circuit 91. The controlling circuit 91 has changeover switches SW<SB>4</SB>-SW<SB>6</SB>for selecting either one of the three states, and changeover relays R<SB>1</SB>-R<SB>8</SB>to be driven according to the operational state of these changeover switches. In the controlling circuit 91, the switches and the relays are connected so as to output changeover signals to achieve either one of the communication state for delivery, the communication state for gravity and the communication state for suction of an air cylinder 50 according to each of the above-described states.
