PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely recognize the changed attaching position of a console by simple structure when the attaching position of the console is changed. SOLUTION: The mechanism for recognizing console-attaching position is provided with: an attaching part 12 provided around a top plate 2 in medical equipment having the top plate 2 where an reagent is to be mounted and a movable part driven by a drive part, to which the console 11 having operation parts 8 and 9 for operating the movable part is detachably attached; a plurality of recessed and projected shape parts 12a arranged at positions facing the console 11 attached to the attaching part 12 in the medical equipment and provided on different positions in accordance with the attaching position of the console 11; a plurality of switches 18, 19, 20 and 21 provided on the console 11 and switched to be on/off by being abutted on one of the recessed and projected shape parts 12a when the console 11 is attached to the attaching part 12; and an attaching position recognition part for recognizing the attaching position of the console 11 by receiving signals generated by the on/off changeover of the switches 18-21.
