PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for removing shell sand which can surely and efficiently remove sand to improve the cooking time and the safety of a food. SOLUTION: This apparatus for removing shell sand gives low frequency electric pulses to shells in a state floated in salt water in a tank 1 to stimulate respiratory movements. Thereby, sand can be removed highly efficiently from the shells in a short time. The apparatus also has a circulation system having functions giving oxygen to the shells 13 and simultaneously washing vomited sand and excrements which are guided to a precipitation tank 3.
