<p>The system is based on wide-flanged, machined, I-beams (1). The upper and lower flanges include two rows of through-holes, all with equal diameters. These are disposed symmetrically about the longitudinal central plane of the web and are parallel to it. Additionally, in the center of this web, a further row of equally-sized holes is included. Upper- and lower sides of both flanges and their edges, are milled flat. With the exception of the ends of the beams, holes are equally spaced at 100 mm between centers. At the ends, spacing may be halved to 50 mm. Connections are made using bolts with washers and nuts, specified as HVM27 x 80. Close-tolerance bolts are used. The bolts used alternatively have a cylindrical section at the head end, with a conical (centering guidance) section connected to it. The preparation and welding plane is formed by beams of identical cross section. Some act as longitudinal supports (11). They are connected to the workplace floor by spacers (6). Further beams are connected to them, forming transverse supports (12).</p> |
