A method for setting an audio level in a combo device is provided to output uniform audio automatically set up at an initial volume when a user changes a radio frequency or a broadcast channel, thereby removing inconvenience in frequently adjusting the volume into a desired audio volume. A method for setting an audio level in a combo device comprises the following steps of: receiving a radio program or a broadcast program changed by up/down change signals for changing a radio frequency or a broadcasting channel inputted from an input unit(S201~S209); detecting an audio level performing the MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group) decoding of the received and tuned radio program or the broadcasting program(S211); withdrawing the detected audio level and an audio level before the change stored in a volume table and comparing the size of two levels; moving the detected audio level so as for the detected audio level to be identical to the pre-stored audio level before the change(S213,S215); and converting the moved audio level into an analog audio signal, amplifying the analog audio signal, and outputting the amplified analog audio signal through an output unit(S219~S237).
