<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing activated carbon, which can produce various kinds of activated carbon used in various fields with high energy efficiency and production efficiency by using, as raw material, biomass distributed widely and thinly. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for producing activated carbon is equipped with: a hopper 2a for continuously charging a raw material; a screw feeder 2b for continuously transferring the raw material continuously discharged from the hopper 2a; a continuous carbonization furnace 3 which is connected to the screw feeder 2b and receives the raw material continuously transferred from the screw feeder 2b; a carbonized product accommodating vessel 4 for accommodating carbonized products discharged from the continuous carbonization furnace 3; a first connection part 5 having a carbonization furnace rear part foot and a damper 5a for connecting the continuous carbonization furnace 3 and the carbonized product accommodating vessel 4; a discontinuous activation furnace 6 for activating the carbonized product; and a second connection part 7 which connects the carbonized product accommodating vessel 4 and the discontinuous activation furnace 6 and has a screw feeder 7a for transferring the carbonized product accommodated in the carbonized product accommodating vessel 4 to the discontinuous activation furnace 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
