<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical instrument gripping a biotissue with strong gripping force and coagulating and incising the biotissue by ultrasonic vibration and high-frequency current. <P>SOLUTION: This surgical instrument consists of: a first gripping member 25; a second gripping member 59 provided openably/closably to the first gripping member 25 and gripping the biotissue S between itself and the first gripping member 25; an ultrasonic vibration section provided at one of the first or second gripping member, connected to an ultrasonic vibrator and ultrasonically vibrating; an ultrasonic coagulating/incision means provided at the other of the first or second gripping means, opposing to the ultrasonic vibration section, and having a pad member 55 as a pushing section for pushing the biotissue between itself and the ultrasonic vibration section; a first electrode section 56 provided in the first gripping member; and a second electrode section 62 provided in the second gripping member 59; and is characterized in having a high-frequency coagulation means provided with the first electrode section opposing to the second electrode section, and coagulating the biotissue. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
