<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply measure the polarization direction of a measurement sample. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus for measuring the polarization direction comprises a first polarizing plate arranged so that the polarization direction from a reference axis is optional, the measurement sample for the measurement of the polarizing direction, sample holders for settling the measurement sample respectively in the first direction and a second direction mirror-symmetric to the first direction and rotating the measurement sample in the azimuth direction to the reference axis, a light source for providing light passing through the first polarizing plate and the measurement sample and a light detector for detecting light from the light source through the first polarizing plate and the measurement sample. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
