<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate protective film having excellent adhesion to a polarizer and capable of securing dimensional stability, a method of manufacturing the polarizing plate protective film having excellent optical characteristics with the reduction of production load and equipment load required for the drying and the recovery of a solvent, a polarizing plate using a the polarizing plate protective film and a liquid crystal display device using the polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing plate protective film contains a polyvinyl alcohol derivative having a cyclic acetal structure expressed by general formula (P) and cellulose ester. In the formula (P), R<SP>1</SP>expresses a 1-3C alkyl group, each of R<SP>2</SP>-R<SP>4</SP>expresses hydrogen atom or a 1-5C alkyl group, (n) is 0-50 mol%, (m) is 0-30 mol%, (l) is 0-90 mol% and (k) is 0-50 mol%, where (l) and (k) does not take 0 mol% at the same time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
