<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boring tool capable of improving dynamic balance and rigidity of the tool body, easily and accurately performing positional adjustment of an insert, and accurately forming a hole with a high roundness tolerance. <P>SOLUTION: On a head end part of the tool body 21, a recess 30 and an mounting seat 31 are formed. On the mounting seat 31, the tabular insert 50 is mounted such that the thickness direction thereof conforms to the radial direction of the tool body 21. A surface of the rear side of the tabular insert 50 in a tool rotating direction T serves as a face 61 to be pressed. An outer circumferential cutting blade is formed on a ridge line of a rake face on the radial outside of the tool body 21, and also a lead-in cutting blade is formed on a ridge line of the head end part of the tool body 21. Back taper is provided on the outer circumferential cutting blade, and a pressure member 40, which presses the face 61 of the tabular insert 50 and adjusts the position of the outer circumferential cutting blade in the radial direction of the tool body 21, is disposed at the rear side of the mounting seat 31 in a tool rotating direction T. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
