<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the carry with the air reducing effect and the lifting power retaining effect. <P>SOLUTION: A number of dimples 10, each of which has a circular outer edge 10a as the contour of the dimple, are formed on the front surface 1 of the golf ball. A projection 10b with a circular edge 10d is formed near the internal center of the dimple 10, and a ring-shaped wall part 10c with the curved cross section is formed between the circular edge 10d of the projection 10b and the circular outer edge 10a of the dimple. The upper end face of the projection 10b is nearly flat, and the height of the projection is not more than 60% of the depth of the dimple from the circular outer edge 10a to the deepest position of the ring-shaped wall part 10c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
