PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a ceramic laminated layer substrate by laminating a plurality of layers as ceramic green sheets, providing break grooves in the uppermost layer to form a laminate, and then baking the laminate to separate the laminate into pieces from the breaking grooves, which can make small and uniformize the degree of positional displacement due to the shrinkage of the laminate during the baking operation. SOLUTION: The deeper the depth of breaking grooves is, the larger the positional displacement, caused by the shrinkage of a laminate during baking operation, is since it goes to the periphery of the laminate. Thus, breaking grooves B are formed so that ones of the breaking grooves B located at the periphery of the laminate 10 are shallower in depth than ones of the breaking grooves B located at the center of the laminate 10.
