PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device in which an optical system can be simplified and which can reduce cost, can obtain a restored image of proper picture quality being hardly affected by noise, and can photograph a subject at a predetermined distance, and to provide its manufacturing device and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The imaging device includes: the optical system 110 and an imaging element 120 for forming a primary image; and an image processor 140 which forms the primary image into a final image of high definition. The focus position of the optical system 110 is adjusted by being moved to a focus position corresponding to a predetermined subject distance by using a contrast of the subject based upon an image signal repeatedly detected through the optical system having an optical wavefront modulating element modulating an optical transfer function (OTF).
