PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens hood which does not impair functionality and appearance of an AF sensor and which is inexpensive, in an imaging apparatus to which the AF sensor is attached near a photographic lens. SOLUTION: The lens hood has the AF sensor 3 on the side face of a lens barrel 2. The lens hood 4 is freely attached to or detached from the lens barrel by a bayonet system. An opening part 5 having a shape corresponding to the field angle of the AF sensor is formed in the lens hood. This hood generates such effects that vignetting of a luminous flux of the AF sensor is prevented, parallax of the AF sensor is reduced, and in addition, the projection of the outer shape of the imaging apparatus 1 is minimized, and the external appearance is not damaged.
