PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet testing device for power generator stator wiring insulator using cross capacitance and a method thereof. SOLUTION: The device is constituted by a sensor constituted using cross capacitance, and a moisture absorption testing part to perform a moisture absorption test to the power generator stator winding insulator measured by the sensor, and thereby the device diagnoses whether the power generator stator winding insulator has absorbed cooling water for every thickness using the cross capacitance. Prior maintenance to defect winding is performed and thus prevention of an unexpected stop of a plant, reduction of maintenance costs and extension of life span of a generator can be attained.
