PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an organic vehicle, that is high in viscosity and excellent in stability of its paste and does not erode a green sheet when the paste is printed on the green sheet layer in the case of producing a multilayered ceramic electronic parts or a plasma display, by the solution polymerization of a resin, that serves as an organic binder, in an organic solvent serving as a solvent of the paste, and to provide a paste containing the organic vehicle produced by the method. SOLUTION: The method, that is for producing an organic vehicle for preparing a paste to be used in case of producing multilayered ceramic electronic parts or a plasma display, comprises effecting the solution polymerization of a monomer whose main component is alkyl(meth)acrylate in an organic solvent that does not erode a green sheet and serves as a solvent of the paste.
