The invention relates to a cooled electric generator with tubes embedded in the cover thereof, comprising means for generating electric power from the motor torque supplied by a wind rotor having an outer cover formed by a cylindrical casing (23) and cast shields (25) which are provided with embedded conduits configured to form the cooling circuit (31, 41) of the generator, having inlet and outlet channels (33, 35, 43, 45) for a cooling liquid that arrives from and returns to the exterior of the generator. Preferably, the circuit (31) embedded in the cylindrical casing (23) is helical shaped and the circuits (41) embedded in the shields (25) are spiral shaped.
