A typing interpreting dialogue system is provided to enable a user to communicate with a foreigner directly while viewing with each other by interpreting typing inputted from the user and the foreigner, and displaying interpretation to an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display). A translation program installed in a microcomputer(10) translates a question in a mother tongue language automatically and the mother tongue translation is displayed to a user when the foreigner inputs the question in a foreign language by a sentence unit while viewing the LCD. The translation program translates a mother tongue language answer into the foreign language automatically and the translation is displayed to the foreigner when the user inputs the answer in the mother tongue language by the sentence unit while viewing the LCD. A keyboard(20,40) and the LCD(30,50) of the same size/shape are symmetrically installed to both sides of the microcomputer.
