<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle-mounted device that is capable of judging which of a driver's seat user and a passenger seat user has carried out a touch operation, and has a display monitor with a touch panel in which images watched by a viewer are different depending on from which direction the viewer watches them. <P>SOLUTION: A driver's seat user presses a menu button 22c displayed on a display screen watched from the driver's seat side. When the user releases the button without moving the pressed position, a menu screen 23 is shown on the display monitor 16. When the user releases the button after moving the pressed position, the menu screen 23 is not shown. Meanwhile, when, after pressing the menu button displayed on the display screen that can be watched from the passenger seat side, a passenger seat user releases the button after moving the pressed position, a channel switching screen for digital terrestrial broadcasting is shown.
