<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression method of an ultrasonic image with use of Huffman coding table that reflects the characteristics of the ultrasonic image for prevent damages due to speckles, which is important information in ultrasonic diagnosis. <P>SOLUTION: The compression method of the ultrasonic image with Huffman table includes the steps of (a) receiving the inputs of consecutive ultrasonic images, each of which contains a number of pixels; (b) determining characteristics of the pixels of the ultrasonic images; (c) updating Huffman table, based on the characteristics of the pixels from a top ultrasonic image to (n-1)th ultrasonic image, (n is an integer larger than 1); (d) encoding an nth ultrasonic image with the updated Huffman table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
