<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device capable of reducing the assembling man-hours, in related parts when being used as an illumination source for illuminating a design part of an operation system parts from the rear face. <P>SOLUTION: A rotary adjustment knob 5, when operating in actuating various kinds of vehicular equipment, is installed at the center cluster in a car. A tabular light guide plate 20 is installed at the rear face of the outer frame 4 comprising the outer wall of the center cluster, a through-hole 21 is formed in this light guide plate 20, and the adjustment knob 5 is arranged there in a turnable state. A light guide 16 is built in the adjustment knob 5, and an LED 15 is arranged at the rear-face position of the adjustment knob 5. When the LED 15 irradiates light, this irradiated light is guided to the light guide plate 20 via the light guide 16. Then, since by having the light guide plate 20 carry out surface emission by this light, a switch rear face is irradiated, and the design part 6 for switch function display comprising a diffusion material, installed at the outer frame 4, goes into a turned-on state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
