<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain uniform discharge by reliably driving a charging roll following a photoreceptor drum even when the coefficient of friction on the photoreceptor drum surface is low. <P>SOLUTION: The relation in a load f added to a charging roll 24 by a spring member 38, a mass m of the charging roll 24, and a center angleθformed by a horizontal line and a line connecting the contact point of the charge roll 24 with a photoreceptor drum 22 and the center of the photoreceptor drum 22, that is, a real load is represented by mgsinθ+f≥200g weight. Thereby, even when the coefficient of dynamic friction on the surface of the photoreceptor drum 22 is low as in a range of 0.8 to 1.0, the charge roll 24 reliably rotates following the rotation of the photoreceptor drum 22 to produce uniform discharge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
