摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic device that enables the power consumption thereof to be reduced, a method for driving an electro-optic device, and an electronic apparatus. SOLUTION: The electro-optic device 1 can select a full screen display mode that renders the entire region of a display screen A into a display region or a partial display mode that renders a part of the entire region of the display screen A into a display region while rendering the other region into a nondisplay region. The electro-optic device 1 is equipped with: a scanning line drive circuit 10 sequentially supplying a selection voltage to select a scanning line Y to a plurality of scanning lines Y; a data line drive circuit 20 supplying an image signal to a plurality of data lines X when the scanning line Y is selected; and an equalizer circuit 40 connecting or disconnecting the data line X and a common electrode 56. The equalizer circuit 40 connects the data line X to the common electrode 56 when a scanning line Y in the nondisplay region is selected in the plurality of scanning lines Y in the partial display mode.
