PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range changeover control device of automatic transmission for shortening a moving distance at a collision from the backside. SOLUTION: A range changeover control device of automatic transmission including a select operation input unit 1; an actuator 3; a position sensor 33; and a controller 2, comprises a rear collision sensor 6 detecting collision from the rear of a vehicle, and when detecting the collision from the rear of the vehicle, the controller 2 switches a range position to an N range position if the range position is at a P range position.
