DEVICE FOR ATTACHMENT OF RADIATING SOURCE TO MICROSCOPE OBJECTIVE

Device for attachment of radiating source to microscope objective consists from main part of device (1) inserted between microscope objective and microscope body; source of radiation, which consists from source of radiation (3), lens (4), reflecting mirror (11) changing the direction of rays propagation, invar alloy part (2), dichroic mirror (5) on a tilt 45° to the direction of propagation of radiation and coated with a structure of thin layers with maximal reflectivity for used source of radiation and maximal transmissivity for useful radiation coming from the place of the speciment, glass window (6) for alignment of optical axis of image-forming beam with optical axis of microscope, optical filter (7), brass mount with thread (8) for attachment of microscope objective, fixing screw (9) for attachment device to a microscope. The device can be with advantage temperature-stabilized by Peltier element (14). The device can be with advantage screwed to the microscope body by fixing screw (9) with step and slide bearing enabling rotational movement independently on rotational of the whole device body and hereby enabling to screw it easily to the microscope body. The device can be with advantage equipped with anamorphic prisms (10) for correction of ellipticity of the source of radiation.
