<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolyte fuel cell unit which has a separator and a cell plate serving as a support substrate of a cell both consisting of a metal plate, wherein acid resistance or electric conduction property of the metal separator and the metal cell plate can be improved, their thermal expansion coefficients can be adjusted, and thereby durability and output performance of the solid electrolyte fuel cell unit can be improved; and to provide a fuel cell stack comprising such the fuel cell units. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell unit 1 has the metal cell plate 2 supporting the cell 2c and the metal separator 3 facing the cell plate 2. At least a part of a surface of the separator 3 is subjected to a coating of: an oxide, a nitride, noble metal, an alloy material containing noble metal, copper, an alloy material containing chromium, or a mixture of them. Mutually different kinds of metallic materials are used for constituting the separator 3 and the cell plate 2, respectively, according to required function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
