<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission system capable of reducing a deviation in the wavelength characteristics between opposing optical multiplexer/demultiplexers regardless of temperature environmental change, and organizing an inexpensive system. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transmission system includes: the two optical multiplexer/demultiplexers; an optical transmission path connecting the two optical multiplexer/demultiplexers; and a wavelength characteristic control means for shifting the wavelength characteristic of one optical multiplexer/demultiplexer, while keeping the interval of the center wavelength of one optical multiplexer/demultiplexer so as to allow the center wavelength of the pass wavelength band of a branch line side port in one optical multiplexer/demultiplexer corresponding to the branch line side port of the other optical multiplexer/demultiplexer to coincide with the center wavelength of the pass wavelength band of the branch line side port in the other optical multiplexer/demultiplexer between the two optical multiplexer/demultiplexers connected by the optical transmission path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
