<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus to form an image which is not influenced by a charging potential irregularity of a photosensitive substance. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus; a digital filter 3 conducts a two-dimensional convolution operation to a measurement correcting data, and generates an interpolation correcting data having the same resolution as an image data. An analog filter 5 conducts a smoothing process to smooth a stepped analog signal. A laser driving portion 6 varies a bias current of a semiconductor laser 101 based on the image data and an output signal of the analog filter 5, and controls a quantity of light of the laser so as to correct the charging potential irregularity of a photosensitive substance drum 107. The smoothing process of the interpolation correcting data to a vertical scanning direction is conducted only by the digital filter 3, and the smoothing process of the interpolation correcting data to a main scanning direction is conducted by the digital filter 3 and the analog filter 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
