<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate that can materialize highly accurate arrangement of an optical module through a simple structure, and also to provide an optical connection device that has this substrate and the optical module suitable to the substrate and that performs optical connection for transmitting optical signals in-between. <P>SOLUTION: In the substrate on which a waveguide for optical signal transmission is formed, there are provided a placement base which has a slope formed for an optical module to be mounted, wherein the optical module is loaded with a signal medium conversion element serving for conversion between an electric signal and an optical signal, and a contact wall which is formed on the downstream side of the slope and which is for the optical module placed on the slope to go down the slope to come in contact with. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
