<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high output, high luminance and long-life semiconductor light emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: This semiconductor light emitting element is provided with first/second electrodes on first/second conductive type semiconductor layers, respectively, on the same side. The first electrode includes a first mount part and two or more first extension parts extending in the same direction with the first mount part as a base point. The second electrode includes a second mount part and a second extension part which so extends from the second mount part as to approach the first mount part in almost the same direction as the first extension parts. The two or more first extension parts have, in the same direction parts, respectively, termination parts arranged from the first mount part beyond a farthermost end part in the second electrode in the peripheral direction of the element. One first extension part is provided with the first mount part at the same direction part, and the other first extension part is so arranged that a space between the first electrode and the second electrode becomes the shortest. The second extension part is so extended from the second mount part that the shortest space between the same direction part of the other first extension part and the second mount part and the shortest space between the same direction part of the other first extension part and the second extension part becomes the same distance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
