<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed print control method for completing printing of a requested plurality of jobs in a shortest time without stopping a printer by smoothing print completion time in each printer. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises a first step in which the distributed print control device transmits a print reservation command to print 1 set to arbitrary printers; a second step in which a printer which is not printing returns a set start notification; a third step in which the control device transmits the print reservation command to print 1 set to the other printer when the total sets of sheets being printed and print-reserved does not reach a requested number of sets; a fourth step in which the printers transmits the set completion notification; and a fifth step in which the control device transmits the print reservation command to print 1 set 1 to another printer when the total sets of sheets printed, being printed, and print-reserved does not reach the requested quantity.
