PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key input device, capable of improving key operability. SOLUTION: A portable terminal 100 with a key 30 to which a plurality of functions is assigned comprises a key switch 31 for detecting depression start of the key 30 and depression end of the key 30; a depressing force detection sensor 32 for detecting a depressing force of depressing the key 30; a factor calculation part 41 for acquiring an input factor corresponding to the depressing of the key by use of the time from the depressing start of the key 30 to the depressing end of the key 30 and the depressing force detected by the sensor 32; and a key function determination part 43 for determining, based on the input factor acquired by the factor calculation part 41, a function to be executed according to the depressing of the key from the plurality of functions assigned to the key 30.
