PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-component developer which satisfies both of charge stability and fixability by using a sharp melting toner having improved fixability as a toner in a two-component developer. SOLUTION: The two-component developer comprises at least the toner comprising toner particles containing at least a binder resin, a colorant and a wax component, and a magnetic fine particle-containing resin carrier comprising a carrier core in which metal compound particles are dispersed in a binder resin and a resin covering the surface of the carrier core, wherein the toner contains a polymer or copolymer having a sulfonic acid group, a sulfonate group or a sulfonic ester group and the developer has a transportability index of 75-150.
