PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric nail clipper composed of a small number of parts with a simple principle for neatly cutting or polishing nails of persons or pets without cutting them to the quick. SOLUTION: The electric nail clipper has a pulley or a gear for transmitting rotation of a motor. A spiral rotary blade for cutting nails is rotated by motor rotation so that the nails are safely and neatly cut without cutting to the quick. A removable cartridge or a fixed cartridge with a lid is provided for storing cut nail pieces so as to prevent the rotary blade from being damaged by the nail pieces.
