PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact pin for stably keeping low the resistance value of the contact pin while stably keeping low resistance values at respective contact parts. SOLUTION: This contact pin 21 is equipped on its both ends with first and second contact members 23 and 25. The first contact member 23 comprises a tubular part 23c while the second contact member 25 comprises an insertion part 25c housed in the tubular part 23c and making sliding contact with its inner surface. The contact members 23 and 25 are energized in directions away from each other by a coil spring 27 housed in the tubular part 23c. The insertion part 25c is equipped with an inclined surface 29b projecting substantially in a conical shape centering on an axis line L. The coil spring 27 has a shape wherein wire is rolled substantially at a certain slope and an end-part winding part 33a projects onto the contiguous insertion part 25c side. Contacting of the winding part 33a with a part of the inclined surface 29b causes component force to act thereon in a direction substantially orthogonal to the axis line L.
