<p>A cruise control for a road vehicle has an inbuilt low level maximum speed as well as a programmable maximum speed. The driver has three controls; one to select and release the fixed speed, one to set a selected speed and one to vary the selected speed in set increments. The driver is able to set the fixed speed at any time. This can be a national recommended speed limit and can be preset to suit the conditions in different countries.</p> |
