The suspension system (30) includes a damping system (76) including a first valve and a second valve, which cooperate to provide desirable damping forces throughout a broad range of relative velocities of the suspension system, while also being relatively lightweight and compact. The first valve includes a first orifice (108) and a first valve body (110) configured to regulate fluid flow through the first orifice (108). The second valve includes a second orifice (122, 130). In one arrangement, the second orifice (122) is defined by the first valve body (110).
