A nonlinear processing is performed by a process that a noise removal (smoothing) processing is applied to original data so as to remove a high frequency noise component and a process that an edge enhancement processing is applied to the smoothed image and then the noise component is removed again. Finally, a weighted combination with the original data is performed.
