METHOD FOR SOLIDIFYING SEWAGE SLUDGE

A method for solidifying sewage sludge is provided to prevent a pH from increasing and an odor from being caused by quicklime when a water content of sewage sludge is controlled by quicklime, and reduce a production cost largely by using waste as a sewage sludge solidifier. A method for solidifying sewage sludge includes the steps of: (a) mixing sewage sludge with quicklime to adjust a water content of the sewage sludge to 40% or less; (b) mixing the sewage sludge with at least one pH controller or deodorant selected from the group consisting of magnesium chloride, iron chloride, and aluminum sulfate to adjust pH to 7-10 and remove an odor; (c) mixing the sewage sludge with a heavy metal adsorbent to remove heavy metals; and (d) mixing the sewage sludge with a setting hardener to solidify the sewage sludge.
