A mass estimation method for foreign substances of nuclear equipment and an estimation device using the same are provided to improve an accuracy of mass estimation values of the foreign substances since more accurate frequency data can be acquired by sequentially removing a resonance component and an environment noise component. A mass estimation device for foreign substances includes sensor units(210) and a collecting/analyzing unit(230). The collecting/analyzing unit collects and analyzes signals detected in the sensor units. The sensor units are installed on the exterior surface of a nuclear device(100) and measure vibration wave signals at the installation positions. The sensor units are installed in structures constituting the nuclear device. An accelerometer is used as the sensor unit. The collecting/analyzing unit receives vibration wave signals detected in the sensor units, extracts frequency data of a shock vibration wave by shocks of the foreign substances by a time-frequency analysis method, and estimates the masses of the foreign substances on the basis of the extracted frequency data.
