An apparatus and a method for sensing vehicle collision video data are provided to acquire video data by using a plurality of shock sensors and a plurality of reflection plates. An apparatus for sensing vehicle collision video data includes one or more reflection plates(100), a plurality of shock sensors(200a to 200d), a controller(300), a reflection plate driving unit(400), a reflection plate lock/unlock unit(500), and an image sensing unit(600). The reflection plate is arranged in a passenger compartment, and has one end hinged in the passenger compartment. The shock sensors are mounted on a vehicle. The controller judges the shock position in accordance with the signal output from the shock sensors. The reflection plate driving unit provides operating force to the reflection plate. The reflection plate lock/unlock unit keeps the reflection plate at the locked state in the passenger compartment, and unlocks the reflection plate in accordance with the signal output from the controller. The image sensing unit senses video data reflected from the reflection plate in accordance with the signal output from the controller.
