<p>A mirror actuator (10) includes a piezoelectric element (21) bonded at a circular surface to a rear surface of a circular mirror (4) such that the circular surface's center matches that of the rear, circular surface of the mirror (4). The piezoelectric element (21) receives a potential to cause its bonded circular surface to expand/contract radially around 360 degrees by a uniform ratio to allow the mirror (4) to have a surface modified in geometry. The mirror (4) has a mirror surface provided with a transmission film (20) having an index of refraction of at least one.
